What are the best conditions for my baby’s room in terms of temperature, humidity, etc.?
The best way to determine if your baby’s room is at the best temperature and humidity level is to see if you feel comfortable in the room. Most experts agree that a baby’s room should be kept between 65-72 °F, which is a normal room temperature.
If you feel hot or cold when you enter your child’s room, your child probably feels the same way. If your baby is too hot, they may get sweaty and their skin will appear mottled. To check if your baby is cold, feel their chest. A baby’s hands and feet will often feel cold to the touch even if they are at a comfortable temperature due to their immature circulation system.

The humidity level in your baby’s room should be kept between 30-60% as recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency. Keeping the humidity level in your home below 60% decreases mold growth and therefore decreases the potential for allergic reactions, asthma and other respiratory complaints.
