What’s that in the crib? No, those big eyes don’t belong to a toddler… but they sure would scare away any predators in the night!

They belong to this plastic lawn owl, which quickly became the best friend of a little girl named Sylvie. She takes the owl everywhere with her, including to bed.

The story went viral after her uncle shared his niece’s unusual obsession on Twitter.

 

According to Buzzfeed, the owl was supposed to be a gift for her father, to be used to scare away birds from his boat.

Instead, Sylvie took a liking to it, and the pair became inseparable.

 

Strange, but adorable nonetheless!
